HOST STUDIO / PRIVACY

Privacy policy

Your host data. Your choices.

Last updated: October 14, 2026

Scope and contact

This policy covers Host Studio for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and visionOS, and its pages on mokidoapp.ca. “We” means the application provider identified in Host Studio’s App Store listing. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@mokidoapp.ca. It does not replace your organization’s policies for its host systems.

Privacy at a glance

Host Studio does not collect app analytics or crash reports, include advertising or tracking SDKs, or send host data to developer-operated servers. We do not sell personal information or use host content for advertising. AI assistance runs on your device; host content and prompts are not sent to a remote AI provider. These statements do not prevent the connections you request to your own hosts, optional Apple iCloud synchronization, or sharing you initiate.

Information used by the app

Host Studio processes the information needed for the features you use: host addresses and ports, connection profiles and bookmarks, account identifiers and credentials you supply, terminal input and output, commands and macros, display preferences, and files or print jobs you open or transfer. These may contain personal or confidential business information. The app uses them to connect, authenticate, display host sessions, carry out your actions, and manage your workspace.

Host connections and file transfers

When you connect, the destination host receives the information needed for your session, including authentication details, commands, input, and uploaded files. Host Studio receives the screens, files, and output returned by that host. Transfers may use IND$FILE, FTP / FTPS, SSH / SFTP, IBM i Host Server, or terminal-assisted commands, depending on your configuration and version. Your host operator controls its access, logging, retention, and use of that information. We do not operate those hosts.

Local storage and optional iCloud sync

Saved connection settings, bookmarks, workspace preferences, and app-created files can remain on your device. If you enable private iCloud synchronization, supported bookmarks, geometry, and themes are stored through Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud account and synchronized across your devices. Apple provides this service under its own terms. Turning sync off does not necessarily delete copies already in iCloud or on another device. Device backups and exported files may also contain app data.

AI, automation, and offline demos

AI assistance processes its inputs on-device. Native screen presentation and automation use host screen content to provide the requested functionality. Commands you choose to execute are still sent to the connected host. Built-in offline demos do not require a host connection. Review suggested or automated actions before executing them.

Camera, files, clipboard, and printing

Camera access is used when you choose barcode scanning; scanned values may be inserted into host fields and sent to the connected host when you submit them. You can revoke camera permission in system Settings. File selection, clipboard actions, PDF export, sharing, and printing process the content you select. Copies sent to Files, another app, a cloud storage provider, or a printer are then handled by that destination and its privacy practices.

Managed devices

If your organization manages the app or device, it may supply host profiles, enforce connection settings, or restrict exports through managed app configuration. Your organization and its device-management provider control their own management data and policies. Contact your administrator about those practices and any restrictions on your choices.

Apple services and purchases

Apple handles App Store distribution and payments. We do not receive your payment-card or bank details. Apple may process purchase records, system diagnostics, backups, and iCloud information according to your settings and its own policies. Apple’s system diagnostic services are separate from app analytics. See Apple’s Privacy Policy for its practices.

Support and this website

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to provide, and use them to respond and resolve your request. Do not send passwords, private keys, or unredacted confidential host data. Email providers process correspondence to deliver this service. The website does not include advertising, analytics scripts, or tracking pixels. Its hosting provider may process your IP address, browser details, requested URL, and request time to deliver and secure the site; hosting or access-control services may use necessary cookies or logs. External links are governed by the destination’s policy.

Retention and deletion

Saved app information remains until you remove it or the relevant storage is cleared. Remove saved profiles and app-created files you no longer need using available app and system controls. Manage synchronized data through iCloud settings, and remove exports and backups separately where appropriate. Removing the app does not necessarily remove iCloud data, credentials held by system services, exported files, backups, or records kept by a host. Ask your host administrator about host-side deletion. We retain support correspondence only as long as needed to handle the request, maintain necessary support records, and meet legal obligations. For access, correction, or deletion of information we hold, write to support@mokidoapp.ca; we may need to verify your request. We cannot delete information controlled by your host operator or Apple.

Security and your choices

Use the encryption and certificate settings required by your administrator. Plain FTP and unencrypted terminal connections do not provide the same transport protection as correctly configured FTPS, SFTP, or TLS. Security depends on the chosen protocol, host, device, and configuration; no system is completely secure. You can stop host connections, disable optional sync, revoke permissions, and choose whether to export or share information. Managed-device rules may limit some choices.

Children and privacy rights

Host Studio is a professional host-access tool and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information to us through support, contact support@mokidoapp.ca. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of information we control, or to raise a concern with a privacy authority. Contact us to exercise those rights; this policy does not limit statutory rights.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy and its revision date when our practices change. Material changes to data collection or sharing will be disclosed, and consent obtained where required, before those changes apply.
